PRODUCTION OF PREVENTING AGENT AND REMEDY FOR TYPE II INTERFERON-SENSITIVE DISEASE

PURPOSE:The titled preventing agent and remedy for diseases containing type II interferon produced by multiplying a human-derived cell having the ability to produce the type II interferon in a warm-blooded animal other than humans and reacting the multiplied cell with an inducer. CONSTITUTION:A drug obtained by transplanting a human-derived cultivated cell having the ability to produce type II interferon into the body of a warm- blooded animal, e.g. dog or cat, or multiplying the cell in the body of the above- mentioned animal or a diffuion chamber mounted on the outside of the body while receiving the humor of the above-mentioned warm-blooded animal, and reacting the resultant human-derived cell with a type II interferon inducer, e.g. concanavalin A, in or outside the living body to produce the type II interferon, and purifying and separating the resultant type II intereferon and containing the type II interferon. A preventing agent and remedy for type II interferon- sensitive diseases contains 1-10,000,000 units above-mentioned interferon based on one g agent or remedy.
