MANUFACTURE OF BUTTON TYPE BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To make easy taking out of a pellet from a die and increase yield in a production process by forming a pellet-like positive electrode of a button type battery by molding positive active material powder in a tapered die. CONSTITUTION:Silver oxide powder is placed in a tapered die 11 which is widened toward the top, and molded with a lower punch 12 and an upper punch 13 to obtain a pellet 14. The pellet 14 is pressed with a positive ring 3 in a positive case 1 to form a positive mix 2. a separator 4, an electrolyte absorbing material 5, and a negative electrode 7 mainly comprising amalgamated zinc filled in a sealing plate 8 are coupled with the positive side to form a button type silver oxide battery. Breakage and deformation of pellets generating in taking out of pellets from the die 11 are prevented and yield in a manufacturing process is increased, and scattering in capacity is also reduced.
