PURPOSE:To accomplish a reproduction picture of a panoramic view with vivid expression by compressing the pictures picked up by two cameras to 1/2, recording them, and by reproducing a continuous picture long in horizontal direction by extending the time base by two times. CONSTITUTION:A view of landscape is picked up by two cameras 1 and 2 as pictures divided into two areas. The picture signals of said pictures are time base-compressed to 1/2 by compressing means 3 and 4 every period of horizontal scanning. The said time base-compressed picture signals of a share for one horizontal scanning are alternatively outputted to a video recorder 6 via a recording-side switching means 5. The timings of the actions of the means 3 and 4, and the switching means 5 are controlled by a controller 7. The signal recorded in the recorder 6 is extended of its time base by two times when reproducing, and the reproduction picture is formed on the screens of two CRTs. |
