PURPOSE:To provide a polyester composition having excellent melt-moldability and gas-barrier property, especially barrier property to O2 and CO2, and high mechanical strength and transparency, and suitable as a raw material of container, by compounding a polyalkylene terephthalate with a specific polyether polyester. CONSTITUTION:(A) A polyalkylene terephthalate composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate is compounded with (B) an essentially linear polyether ester having an intrinsic viscosity [eta] of 0.3-2dl/g and a glass transition temperature of 30-160 deg.C and expressed by the formula [R<1> is bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group composed mainly of p-phenylene; R<2> is 2-20C bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group; R<3> and R<4> are 2-20C hydrocarbon group; p is >=0; m and n are >=0 and m/(m+n) is 0.02-0.98]. The composition is molded to obtain a draw molded article or draw molded hollow article. |
