摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in the prediction of spindle torque and the productivity by determining the difference between the actual value and predicted value of the spindle torque, determining a correction value from the difference and using the correction value as the predicting value for the next and subsequent values. CONSTITUTION:Rolling torque is measured by a torque meter at every pass during rolling and the actual value of the spindle torque is determined. The predicted value of the spindle torque is determined in accordance with the torque prediction equation from the actual values such as the temp. and rolling reduction actually measured with an existing measuring instrument. The difference DIi from the predicted value of the spindle torque determined from the torque prediction equation is determined in accordance with the actual value of the spindle torque and the actual values of rolling conditions. The correction term of the predicting value of the rolling for the next and subsequent passes is determined in accordance with the difference DIi and the correction term is multiplied by the predicted torque value of the next and subsequent passes calculated by the torque prediction equation by which the predicting correction value of the torque is determined. The correction value is used as the predicting torque value for the next and subsequent passes. The accuracy of the torque prediction is thus improved.
