Coke oven equipped with coke oven doors to be pressed against the frame of the oven chamber and thereby providing a tight seal, the doors being provided with an interior face plate arranged in a certain distance from the door body by means of spacers, furthermore with a door-mounted knife-type seal including a safety repositioning device as well as with tightening elements acting on the door body and thus on the knife-type seal, characterized in that the door body (2) provided with said interior face plate (39, 120) is formed exclusively by an entirely resilient sealing plate (3) to which are arranged the supports (6) for the door removing equipment and locking bolts (9) as well as the peripheral, active tightening element (11) which tightly presses together the chamber frame (7), sealing plate, and knife-type seal (5) while influencing exclusively on the marginal areas of the sealing plate. |
