PURPOSE:To secure a comparatively large position control stroke and at the same time to reduce the size of a position controller with low cost, by providing a piezoelectric element actuator containing a welded plate member to a lamination body containing the piezoelectric material blocks. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage having a certain polarity is impressed between conductive pads 22A and 22B of an actuator 10, blocks 16A-16C contract in the lamination direction. Here a base plate 12 is bent to the upper side since the lower surface sides of those blocks are fixed to the plate 12. Then the actuator 10 produces the upward thrust since the outer fringe part of the plate 12 is welded to a holding cylinder. Thus a movable column is pushed up. When the voltage of the adverse polarity is impressed between pads 22A and 22B, the blocks 16A-16C extend in the lamination direction. Then the actuator 10 produces the downward thrust. Then the thrust of and the replacement the actuator 10 change in proportion to the impressed voltage. Therefore the position control stroke is comparatively increased together with reduction of the size and the cost of a position controller with control of the impressed voltage. |
