PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor which can reduce buzzing sound with the use of an inexpensive structure, without degrading the reliability.SOLUTION: The multilayer ceramic capacitor comprises: an element body 4 having an interior portion 16, and first and second exterior portions 14 and 15 respectively made of dielectric layers which are integrated with the interior portion 16 in a manner to sandwich the interior portion 16 from both sides; and external electrodes 6 and 8 which are formed on the outer surface of the element body 4, and which are connected to internal electrode layers 12 and 13, respectively. The second exterior portion 15 is arranged to face a mounting surface 20a of a substrate 20. Equations Ts2>TS1, 3.0≤L≤3.4 (mm), 1.4≤W≤1.9 (mm) and 0.6≥Ts2/T≥0.30 hold true, where Ts1, Ts2, T, L and W denote the thickness of the first exterior portion, the thickness of the second exterior portion, the thickness of the capacitor, the length of the capacitor and the width of the capacitor, respectively. |
