PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional image forming apparatus takes a long time for performing data conversion for preview after preview request from a user, and that when a preview image is generated also in data less that is originally likely to be previewed, an HDD of an image forming apparatus and a band width of a network result in being consumed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes preview processing means which determines whether or not image processing necessary for preview display of the received printing job is performed as preceding processing preceding a preview instruction from a user according to a job input method of a print job, performs the image processing as the preceding processing when having determined to perform the image processing, and processes the preview display according to the performed image processing in response to reception of the preview instruction by the reception means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
