PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique with which it is possible to specify the desired information of a user easily with high accuracy using a sound generated in response to the operation of the user, and enable the user to enjoy an information input operation.SOLUTION: A second operation object member 3 having formed therein an operation surface 30 that is adjusted so as to generate a characteristic musical scale when it is rubbed with an object, and an information acceptance unit 4 are provided in an information acceptance system. The information acceptance unit 4 is provided with a storage device 41 for storing a database 411 that associates candidate information that can be a candidate for input information with a musical scale, a microphone 44 for observing a sound generated in an ambient environment while acquiring the observation result as observation information 491, and a CPU 40 for determining the presence of a musical scale in the observation information 491 acquired by the microphone 44, and, when it is determined that a musical scale exists, selecting the candidate information associated with the musical scale as input information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
