A connecting piece for a folding bedstead, said bedstead comprising a unit bedstead set respectively on the right and left sides thereof, each unit bedstead set comprising a upper frame set and lower frame set, some in-between support rods being connected to said upper, lower frame sets, each said frame set comprising two cross rods and two longitudinal rods positioned between said two cross rod, said two unit bedstead sets being coupled to each other through cross rods, characterized in that each said two corresponding cross rods of said two upper frame sets are coupled pivotally to two sides of a connecting piece, a support edge being extended toward one side from a lower side in the middle of said connecting piece, allowing said two expanded cross rods to be support thereon.
