The subject of the present invention is a hip prosthesis with external cortical pressure. This prosthesis consists of a single block, a prosthesis head 1 which is substantially hemispherical and is extended by a neck 2 whose axis makes an angle of 130 DEG with the axis of the femoral diaphysis, and which rests on a rotation seat 3 with a substantially elliptical base 3b which is extended by an intermediate part 4, at right angles to the lower face of which there is provided a fin 6, and which is itself extended by an oblong plate 5 one concave face of which matches the convexity of the femoral diaphysis. <IMAGE>
