PRODUCTION OF HEXAGONAL NUT

PURPOSE:To increase the production per hour and to reduce the cost by manufacturing a hexagonal nut by blanking and shaving. CONSTITUTION:A prepared hole 2 is pierced in order on a plate stock 1 and the peripheral part of the prepared hole 2 is then subjected to half blanking B in the hexagonal shape estimating the shaving allowance with the prepared hole 2 as the pilot. The drilling D to enlarge the prepared hole 2 further and the chambering E of the hole edge are performed in order then by press-forming C each corner part of the half blanking body. Thereafter, the blanking G as the shaving is performed after performing a tapping P. The hexagonal nut 3 as the final product is made by performing a finishing trimming further without cutting completely in case of shaving.
