PURPOSE:To make it possible to lower running cost, to improve heat efficiency and to further smooth the surface of a transfer medium after transfer recording, by a method wherein the rotating transfer medium is heated by a recording head and predetermined pressure is applied to the surface of the recording medium and a emboss member capable of forming minute unevenness is contacted with the surface of the transfer medium under pressure. CONSTITUTION:When a motor is driven, a roller 1 rotates to the direction shown by an arrow (b). At the same time, a recording head 5 generates heat correspondingly to image information and melts the ink on the surface of the ink roller 1 under heating according to an image pattern and reaches a pressure contact part (c). A supply roller 10 and a timing roller 11 separate recording sheets 8 one by one and feeds the same to the pressure contact part (c) to transfer molten ink to the sheet 8 so as to form the image pattern. After the transfer of the ink, the ink on the surface of the ink roller is removed to left unevenness and an emboss member 24 is contacted with the surface of the ink roller under pressure to form minute unevenness which are, in turn, erased by a smooth blade 6 to form a smooth surface to the ink roller. |
