PURPOSE:To save the drive energy of an actuator while reducing the contact area between a cleaner brush and a guide by forming the shape of a guide leading the cleaner brush to the disk surface as a chevron shape. CONSTITUTION:A brush 1 fitted to a guide 2 is pushed to a chevron shaped guide 3 fixed by a brush drive actuator 5, beng upward while being clipped by the guides 2, 3, the brush is contacted onto the medium 1 from the gap between a head access hole 11 and the head 6 to eliminate the dust adhered to the medium surface. When the cleaner brush 1 is in non-operating position, the part between the guides 2, 3 is widened more than that at the rising of the cleaner brush 1, the bend of the brush is reduced and the brush is returned from the gap between the head access hole 11 and the head 6.
