PURPOSE:To provide a shutter opening and closing device for a ventilating fan connection of which is easy to make without using a lead wire, by a method wherein the terminal of a synchronous motor is inserted forcibly into the socket of a case containing a switch. CONSTITUTION:A case 13 of a ventilating fan body 1 contains a solenoid 6, a limit switch 9, and a cam 10 therein, and a socket 14, making electrical connec tion with electric parts at the interior thereof, is formed to one end surface. A synchronous motor 15 is provided on the one end surface with a plugform terminal 15a. Electrical connection between the synchronous motor 15 and other electric parts, e.g., the solenoid 6, etc. is easy to make by inserting a terminal 15a of the synchronous motor 15 forcibly into a slit 14a of the socket 14 of the case 13. The synchronous motor 15 is secured by inserting a screw 16 through a hole 15c of a flange part 15b of the synchronous motor 15 and screwing the screw in a screw hole 13a of the case 13. A shutter opening and closing device 20 is constituted in a manner described above, and is coupled to a coupling rod 3 through a wire 5. This constitution drastically eliminates a manpower compared with connection by means of a lead wire.
