PURPOSE:To perform the fine adjustment of a lead angle and to improve the accuracy of a shaft parts by giving the small rocking in the width direction to a rolling tool with pinching the body to be worked by the serration arranged in parallel and a pair on the upper and lower and thread rolling tool. CONSTITUTION:The body 13 to be rolled is supported freely rotatably by a center 24. A serration rolling tool 1 and thread rolling tool 2 are moved in the longitudinal direction and the serration and thread located on the same axis are simultaneously rolled on the outer peripheral face of the body to be rolled by making the state of pinching the body 13 to be rolled by the tools 1 and 2. In case of unreasonal force being applied in the axial direction of the body 13 to be rolled, the force is absorbed by slightly moving the thread rolling tool in the width direction. In this way the shaft parts of good accuracy can be manufactured. |
