PURPOSE:To enable a fluorescent screen having superior quality to be formed in a short time, by making a correcting lens have structure in which misslanding of electronic beams caused by rotational shift of a shadow mask system against a panel, when a color cathode-ray tube being in operation, can be avoided. CONSTITUTION:While a section 42X along an X-X' axis has a uniform thickness, a section 42A along an upper A-A' line has an inclined plane comprising an A side in large thickness and an A' side in small thickness, and on the other hand, a section 42B along a lower B-B' line has an inclined plane comprising a B side in small thickness and a B' side in large thickness. As for regions corresponding to respective regions of a fluorescent screen, sections 42A, 42X, and 42B along respective A-A', X-X', and B-B' lines are connected to each other by plural consecutive inclined planes or their approximate consecutive planes, to compose a correction lens 42. Use of such a correction lens 42 can realize correction power of the same degree or more as a previous correction means by shifting the panel in a partial exposure method of the fluorescent screen, even if respective phosphor layers composing the fluorescent screen are formed by a whole surface-concurrent exposure system.
