IMPROVEMENT OF QUALITY OF ELECTRODEPOSITION PAINT COATED FILM

PURPOSE:To seal the pores of an electrodeposition coated film and to remarkably improve the durability thereof by curing the electrodeposition coated film on a material to be coated and coating a water dispersible paint having specific characteristics by dip coating thereon and baking the coated film. CONSTITUTION:The electrodeposition paint is first coated on the material to be coated and thereafter the coated film is baked to form the cured paint film in a method for improving the quality of the electrodeposition paint coated film by a painting stage for finishing only by the electrodeposition painting. The water dispersible paint having 45-57wt% nonvolatile matter and 30-80sec/25 deg.C FC#4 viscosity is then dip-coated thereon and is baked. The water dispersible paint is constituted by using the water dispersible resin such as thermosetting water dispersible amino alkyd resin and crosslinking agent such as methoxymethylated melamine resin to be compounded according to need as coated film forming components and compounding a pigment and org. solvent according to need with such components. Then the pores of the electrodeposition paint coated film are sealed and the durability thereof is improved.
