PURPOSE:To simplify installation and improve reliability by making magnetic attraction act on a place between a carrier box and a conveying belt to carry out conveyance, in a conveying device for a small, thin article such as a slip, etc. CONSTITUTION:When a carrier box 1 is horizontally conveyed, the carrier box 1 is attracted by a horizontal belt 20 by the magnetic attraction between a permanent magnet 10 on the horizontal belt 20 side and a permanent magnet 2 on the carrier box 1 side, and is moved on a horizontal conveying passage A. When the box 1 is moved to a vertical conveying passage B, the carrier box 1 is attracted to a vertical belt 21 by the magnetic attraction between a permanent magnet 4 on the side of the carrier box 1 and the permanent magnet 11 of the vertical belt 21, being vertically conveyed along the vertical conveying passage B. By this structure, installation can be simplified, enabling conveyance with high reliability and high efficiency.
