When an addition power (MAD) at a position corresponding to a fitting point (FP) from among prescription addition powers (ADD)is greater than a target addition power (FAD) set according to a target distance, the target addition power (FAD) is set as an addition power between a progress-start point (PS) and a progress-end point (PE) on a prime meridian, and, in addition, an the average slope of an addition power between the progress-start point (PS) and the fitting point (FP) is set to differ from an average slope between the fitting point (FP) and the progress-end point (PE). When the addition power (MAD) at the position corresponding to the fitting point (FP) from among the prescription addition powers (ADD) is equal to or smaller than the target addition power (FAD), a slope of the addition power is made constant in a partial region including at least the fitting point (FP) between the progress-start point (PS) and the progress-end point (PE) on the prime meridian. |
