<p>This invention provides an improvement in a locking seal comprising a socket member, a latch member, joining means extending between the socket and latch members, and a closure cap member; the socket member comprising a tubular body having first and second open ends communicating with a passageway extending through the body; and locking fingers extending towards the second end of the body, the latch member comprising an elongated locking end adapted for insertion into the tubular body and to interlock with the locking fingers. In accordance with this invention, a dual locking relationship for the latch member is provided. The locking end of the latch member has first shoulders which engage the locking fingers in the socket, and second shoulders which engage the closure cap member so that the latch is dually locked in the socket. The seal is suitable for use in securing or locking trucks, containers, etc.</p> |
