PURPOSE:To attain proper display by installing a display controller for setting up segment corresponding to the reference constitution of a copying machine and segments corresponding to peripheral devices added to the reference constitution to display states and setting up segments corresponding to peripheral equipments which are not added to the reference constitution to non-display states. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer decides that the copying machine 1 is in the reference constitution state in which no peripheral device such as an automatic original carrying device 10 or a sorter 11 is equipped based on signals obtained from microswitches MSi, MSj, MSk for detecting the existence of connection to the peripheral devices, and when there is no signal from these microswitches, turns on only the segment groups shown by black dots. When the sorter 11 is connected to the copying machine 1, the microswitch MSi detects the connection and the microcomputer turns on only light emitting diodes LEDs corresponding to the black dots out of light emitting diodes LED1-LEDn. Consequently, proper display can be attained. |
