VERTICAL TYPE PRESSURE CASTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a cold shut in a product by removing part of the inside surface side wall of an injection sleeve to an arc shape to provide groove-shaped relief parts to the positions averting the gate part at the height of a gate communicating with a cavity. CONSTITUTION:The relief parts 5 are provided in the direction perpendicular to the gate 2 in the position where the gate part is averted at the height of the gate on the lower side of the injection sleeve 4 provided to an upper die. The relief parts 5 are formed of the grooves 5a by removing the inside surface side wall of the sleeve 4 to the arc shape. The solidified layer formed on the wall of the injection sleeve 4 when pressurized packing is started upon pushing down of the top surface of a molten metal by an injection plunger tip does not slide downward as the solidified layer formed in the relief parts 5 acts as a stopper and therefore, the clogging of the gate 2 is obviated. The solidified layer formed in the relief parts 5 is strongest and the solidified layer formed on the wall of the injection sleeve 4 is bent inward and the intrusion of the solidified layer into the cavity is prevented until the packing is completed. The generation of defects such as cold shut in the product formed in the cavity is thus obviated.
