Decimal indication of angular position using code discs gear- coupled in ratios which are not powers of ten is made possible by adding the coded signals (22, 24, 26) of the individual code discs by an electronic adder (30) and feeding the result to a decimal indicator (28). If a one-step code is used, converters (16, 18, 20) are inserted to convert the one-step code into the BCD-code so that a conventional adder can be used.
