PURPOSE:To correct bow-shape focusing errors easily and accurately, by combining a pair of saddle-form coils composing a horizontal deflecting coil, auxiliary coils connected in series to the saddle-form coils, and diodes connected parallel to the auxiliary coils in the reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:To saddle-form coils 12a and 12b, auxiliary coils 13a and 13b with small inductances are connected in series respectively, and, the series set of the coil 12a and the auxiliary coil 13a, and that of the coil 12b and the auxiliary coil 13b are connected parallel each other. To the auxiliary coils 13a and 13b, diodes 14a and 14b are connected in the inverse direction respectively. The terminals to feed horizontal deflecting currents are made U and V respectively, and the coil 12a is set at the upper side while the coil 12b is at the lower side. In such a condition, when a current flows from U to V through the deflection yoke, the electron beams are deflected to the side of x>0. When the deflection is produced in the scope x>0, the current flows from the terminals V to U.
