MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To form an image scrupulous and to improve resolution without spoiling a linear audio characteristic by specifying the coercive force of needle-like magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:The needle-like magnetic powder having about 450-720 oersted coercive force is used as the needle-like magnetic powder in the 1st coating type magnetic layer under the 2nd coating type magnetic layer. Not only a high-density characteristic is thereby improved but the linear audio characteristic which is heretofore a problem with the conventional two-layer type magnetic recording medium is improved. The needle-like magnetic powder having about 60-700 oersted coercive force is selected, by which the additionally desirable linear audio characteristic is obtd.
