PURPOSE:To attempt an speedy dividing operation as well as an improvement of productivity by constituting a tool rest into an united one whereby simplifying both an assembly work and a dividing mechanism of a turret head. CONSTITUTION:A tool rest unit 7 is composed of a turret head 36 holding a tool holder 39 equipped with a tool rest main body 23, to which tools 40 are fitted, and is mounted onto a tool spindle 33. A dividing device in corporated into the tool rest main body 23 is controlled by a numerical control device whereby the rotation dividing of the turret head 36 is effected. Owing to this constitution, as the tool rest is united, an assembly work is simplified whereby the driving operation is quickly effected for improving productivity.
