PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of image information to be displayed on plural picture display means, by constituting a device so that plural picture display means, and plural video signal sources, are provided, and the outputs of the video signal sources are outputted to the above-mentioned display means selectively. CONSTITUTION:A video switcher 38 in a video signal generating part 6 selects either of video signal sources 30-36, and supplies it to each block in a multiscreen display control part 10 through a distributor 8. Next, the various kinds of data are sent out to each device which becomes an object to be controlled, from the CPU of an operation control part 2 through bus lines 22-26. In this way, on a multiscreen display part connected to the control part 10, the output video of the video signal generating part 6 is displayed. An image displayed on a multiscreen can be generated as a still picture by synthesizing a partial image from a magnetic disk still picture reproducing device 42, or as the image in which the animation of the video signal generating part 6 is mixed in the still picture.
