A lock housing for an espagnolette adapted for right-hand or for left-hand mounting includes a rotatable member (14) having a locking tongue (18) and being rotatable in either direction from a neutral position within the lock housing. Each of the two longitudinal sides (12, 13) of the housing is provided with an opening (19) for the tongue, the openings being formed to limit rotation of the rotatable member. The latter is provided with a first pair of holes (25, 26) for the attachment of operating rods (21, 22), which may exchange position depending upon requirements imposed by the mode of mounting, as well as with a further pair of holes (29, 30) adapted for co-operation with a locking link (27). A locking bolt (40) is introduceable into the lock housing by way of an opening (31) in the bottom plate (10), and will enage the outward end (34) of the locking link (27) when the espagnolette is in its closed position. <IMAGE> |
