System for metering fuel, in particular liquefied petroleum gas, to a consumer having a variable output, said system comprising a metering device with a reducing valve (4), a metering valve (11) and a chamber (20, 21) arranged therebetween, as well as control or regulating means for the setting of the valves in accordance with operating values, in particular for controlling the metering valve (11) as a function of an output requirement signal. To ensure highly-precise metering, which is also aimed at the requirements of a lambda setting, the system is so designed that the regulating means influences the setting of the reducing valve (4), whereby the chamber (20, 21) between the two valves is designed as a buffer volume for the balancing out of pressure fluctuations. A metering device for this system is characterized in that, in order to allow variable operation, it has two separate casing parts, one of which, acting as the chamber body portion (30) forms the buffer volume or important parts for heat transfer, whereas the other, acting as a casing part for the mechanism (29), receives the reducing valve (4) and its actuating mechanism. |
