PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic document encryption system capable of reducing a risk of inappropriate browsing by misappropriation and estimation of a password.SOLUTION: A system includes a creator terminal, a browser terminal, and a policy management server. The policy management server includes: a first database in which a policy ID, a program ID and a password are preliminarily stored in association with each other; means for issuing a document ID in response to an issuance request; means for receiving a document ID, a program ID, and a key from the creator terminal, and registering the document ID, policy ID, and key in a second database in association with each other; means for receiving a document ID from the browser terminal, identifying an associated policy ID by referring to the second database, and requesting a password; means for determining whether or not associated passwords are matched by referring to the first database; and means for transmitting, when the passwords are matched, the key to the browser terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
