PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of reading and recording work by carrying a read original by the first carrying means and carrying a recording paper by the second carrying means. CONSTITUTION:The original to be read is inserted in the direction of an arrow 21 and is ejected in the direction of an arrow 22. The rotative torque is transmitted to a rubber platen 10 and an original feeding roll 16 through gear 12 by a gear 13 in case of feed of the recording paper and is transmitted to them similarly by a gear 15 in case of feed of the read original. Since gears 13 and 14 have the same number of teeth to give the same rotative feed pitch to the rubber roll 10 and the feeding roll 16, the read original and the recording paper are fed at the same feed pitch. Insertion of the read original is detected by a paper sensor 23, and the original is read when it passes a read sensor part 5 by a rubber belt 18 and a guide roll 17. Thus, the efficiency of reading and recording work is improved.
