PURPOSE:To remove noise from plural pictures including noise at fixed position and register efficiently dividing pictures and giving serial numbers to the divided pictures by trimming and dividing input pictures automatically and giving serial numbers. CONSTITUTION:At the time of setting anew, longitudinal and lateral trimming lines 15 are set on a displayed picture from a keyboard. A part of input picture is deleted automatically for picture data inputted to the fixed area of a memory along stored trimming areas. Pictures 13, 13 for which deletion process is executed are divided into plural parts by stored dividing lines 16, and stored serial numbers 17 are given by a counter to divided pictures 13, 13 and registered in a storage device. Thus, automatic trimming, dividing into plural parts of picture data, and automatic registration of plural pictures to which serial numbers are given are made possible.
