PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit constitution and to attain high reliability and high stability and to reduce a man-hour by integrating a floppy disk controller (FDC) and its peripheral logic circuits into one semiconductor chip integrally to narrow the space for mounting a circuit board. CONSTITUTION:An FDC 4 and a write clock generator WCG 3, a control regis ter 5, an FDD unit controller 6, and an address decoder 7 which constitute peripheral logic circuits of the FDC 4 are integrated into one semiconductor chip integrally to constitute one LSI for FDC. At the time of operation, a clock generator CG 1 gives a clock to a VFO 2 and the FDC 4, and the VFO 2 generates a data window for data taking-out based on read data from an FDD drive 8. The WCG 3 generates the reference clock of write data to be sent to the drive 8. An address is inputted to the decoder 7 from an MPU, and the register 5 and the FDC 4 are chip-selected by the decoded output. |
