PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic characteristics small in dark decay, superior in electrifiability characteristics, and resistant to deterioration of development contrast by incorporating a specified disazo type compound in an alcohol-soluble resin to form an interlayer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is composed of a substrate, the interlayer, and a photosensitive layer, and the interlayer contains the alcohol-soluble resin and as the constituent the disazo type compound represented by formula I or II in which each of R and R' is H or alkyl; each of X1-X8 is H, alkyl, amino, or the like; and A is 1,4-naphthylene group. This electrophotographic sensitive body is electrified and imagewise exposed to light having a central wavelength of >=700nm in the step of forming a latent image. |
