PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a daisy wheel, by making a carriage rotatable by approximately 90 deg. from a print position to a rear replacing position thereby facilitating the replacement of a daisy wheel. CONSTITUTION:A print mechanism including a daisy wheel 71 having types at the tip, a selector motor 72 for rotating the daisy wheel 71, a hammer solenoid 73 for hammering the type of the daisy wheel 71, etc. is mounted on a carriage 52. The carriage 52 is supported rotatably in the directions of arrows A, B(back and forth) on a carrier 51, and the daisy wheel 71 is replaced under the condition where the carriage 52 is rotated in the direction of the arrow B. Said carriage 52 rotates in the direction of the arrow B to a replacing position which is approximately at 90 deg. to the printing position set approximately in vertical, thereby the daisy wheel 71 directs approximately right upward at the replacing position. Consequently, the daisy wheel 71 can be replaced easily. |
