摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate brazing, and to enable the adjustment and hermetic connection of an optical axis substantially narrowing the space of the inner circumferential surface of a recessed section in a lens holder and a lens shell in an LED by an annular metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:When a recessed section 102b in a lens holder 102 and a lens shell 101e in an LED 101 are connected, iron is plated with gold in the shell 101e, Kovar is plated with gold in the holder 102, and a section between both the shell and the holder is filled with soft solder. The side surface of the shell 101e is covered loosely with an annular metallic plate 11, and ring-shaped solft solder is wound on the upper and lower sections of the metallic plate 11. When optimum optical coupling is acquired and solder is melted through heating, solder does not flow out easily because the space of the shell 101e and the metallic plate 11 is narrowed by the metallic plate 11. When the metallic plate 11 is moved vertically and in the direction of rotation, sections among each opposed surface of respective section are buried with solder, thus hermetically sealing an optical coupling section.
