PURPOSE:To improve the tensile strength and compression set of the obtained polyester-ester-amide block copolymer, by polycondensing a mixture comprising a specified polyamide component, a specified polyether component and a specified branched chain component at a specified ratio in the presence of a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:This polyamide elastomer contains 95-10wt% polyamide units derived from the following polyamide component (a), 4-85wt% polyether units derived from the following polyester component (b) and 0.01-5wt% units derived from the following branched chain component (c): (a) a polyamide having carboxyl and/or carboxylate groups on both ends, (b) a polyoxyalkylene glycol having hydroxyl groups on both ends and (c) a polycarboxylic acid having at least three carboxyl groups or its esterifiable derivative. Said polyamide elastomer can be obtained by polycondensing components (a)-(c) in the above ratio in a molten state in the presence of a catalyst.
