PURPOSE:To grasp the quantity of caloric intake by outputting an alarm when it is decided that the caloric intake is excessive and deficient based on nutrition data on the information of food names included in IC card data as well as the standard nutrition data set previously. CONSTITUTION:A card holder writes the information on food names on an IC card for each meal. Then the IC card is put into a card reader/writer 3 and a read indicating operation is carried out through a keyboard 2. A CPU 5 stores the card data in a data buffer in a read memory 6 and reads the corresponding calory data and the vitamin data out of a food-based nutrition table based on the stored food name codes. Then the CPU 5 performs the totalizing operation of both calory and vitamin. The results of these totalization are displayed on a CRT 4. The CPU 5 multiplies the standard caloric intake data and the standard vitamin intake data stored in the memory 6 by the number of days stored in and IC for calculation of the standard caloric intake and the standard vitamin intake for the relevant period. These results are compared with the total caloric intake to judge its excess or deficiency. |
