PURPOSE:To permit the easy change of coercive force (Hc) by immersing a substrate into an aq. soln. of an org. sulfur compd., then immersing the same into an electroless magnetic plating liquid contg. cobalt ions or cobalt ions and nickel ions. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic plating film is formed on the substrate by immersing the substrate consisting of a nonmagnetic material into the aq. soln. of the org. sulfur compd., then immersing the same into the electroless plating liquid contg. the cobalt ions or the cobalt ions and nickel ions. The org. sulfur compd. is adsorbed on the substrate by immersing the substrate into the aq. soln. of the org. sulfur compd., by which the active state of the substrate is changed and the initial deposition process of the magnetic plating is affected. The magnetic film which is formed by the same electroless plating liquid, therefore, has the magnetic characteristics different from the magnetic characteristics of the magnetic film formed on the substrate on which the org. sulfur compd. is not adsorbed.
