PURPOSE:To make to be accurately deposited solely on the segment electrodes for forming a good phosphor screen by making phosphor grains to be deposited on the segment electrodes while relatively moving the deposition substrates and the opposing electrodes in a deposition liquid. CONSTITUTION:A polygonal supporter 13 is fixed to a rotary axis 12 inside a conductive container 10 while pasting deposition substrates 14, wherein segment electrodes 15 are arranged in each side of said supporter 13 at a prescribed pitch, for being cylindrically formed. Then, while being immersed in a deposition liquid 11, power supply 16 is connected to a container and between the respective segment electrodes 15 to rotate the rotary axis 12 by a motor. Thereby, the electrodes 15 and the container 10 are moved relatively while properly stirring the liquid by a rotating wing 17 for making phosphor grains to be finely stuck to the electrodes 15 to form a good phosphor screen for a fluorescent character display tube or the like.
