PURPOSE:To achieve stable high speed response at high density by supplying a recording liquid to all of recording liquid emitting parts at an equal flow passage distance by setting the gap between substrates provided in a row direction of heat generators to a recording liquid supply passage. CONSTITUTION:Power is intermittently supplied to each heat generator 17 by a switching element through an electrode 19 to generate Joule heat and a liquid droplet is emitted from a recording liquid emitting orifice 18 as shown by a drawing by the change in pressure generated by the abrupt film boiling of the recording liquid contacted with the surface of the heat generator 17. Since a recording liquid supply groove 22 is provided at an equal distance from any heat generators 17 in the vicinity of said heat generators 17, the recording liquid can be supplied to any recording liquid emitting orifice 18 under the same condition. As a result, a stable recording liquid emitting state was not obtained at driving freqnency of about 8 KHz heretofore but a good emitting state can be obtained even at frequency of 4 kHz. Therefore, stable high speed response can be achieved at high density. |
