PURPOSE:A dentifrice composition effectively showing suppressing effects on formation of dental calculus even after long-term preservation, blended with a polyphosphate stably, using both a synthetic amorphous zirconium bond- containing silicate and the straight-chain polyphosphate. CONSTITUTION:A dentifrice composition is blended with (A) 0.1-10wt%, especially 0.2-2wt% calculated as ZrO2 based on SiO2 of zirconium bond amount of synthetic amorphous zirconium silicate preferably having 1.40-1.47 refractive index, <=800m<2>/g specific surface area, 1.9-2.3 specific gravity and 0.4-2.0ml/g solution absorption amount is blended with (B) a straight-chain polyphosphate shown by the formula Mn+2PnO3n+1 (M is Na or K; n>=2). The amount of each component blended is preferably 1-50wt%, especially 5-30wt% based on the total amount of the composition of the component A and preferably 0.1-10wt%, especially 0.5-5wt% component B. |
