PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency by permitting a transmission source master station to give the address of a transmission destination master station and the identifier of a transmission destination slave station to the frame of a packet and to transmit them to the transmission destination master station at said address and rendering the transmission destination master station to transmit the packet to a slave station that the identifier specifies. CONSTITUTION:The identifier ID 17 in the slave station, the transmission destination station, is configured with an LENG 18 and ID 1-IDn19. The LENG 18 sets the data length of the packet, and sets the address of the slave station that an operator wants to transmit to the ID 17. If the slave station 4 in the master station 1 transmits data to slave stations 7 and 8 in the master station 3, the master station 1 sets data to the frame. Next, the master station 1 transmits the packet to a relay station 2. Then, the relay station 2 reads only an transmission destination master station address DA 12 in the frame, and transmits the packet to the master station 3 being a transmission destination. After the master station 3 reads up to the ID 17 in the frame, it starts transmitting data to the slave station 7 or 8 being the final transmission destination.
