To save weight in a trailing arm (14) or spring in a goods road vehicle suspension the arm or spring is made of composite plastics material and a pivoted end thereof is formed as a pintle (20) received in a slotted socket (22, 32) fixed between hanger brackets (12) with an intermediate elastomeric bush (30).
