PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire welding method that can securely join weld zones of aluminum electric wires to each other by removing oxide coatings without melting core wires, and an electric wire welding device used therefor.SOLUTION: An electric wire welding method includes: a holding process for holding a weld zone 4, in which an insulator 3 is exposed at terminals of a plurality of aluminum electric wires 1 formed by coating a core wire 2 made of aluminum or its alloy with the insulator 3, between a pair of electrodes 21 and 31; and a welding process for welding the weld zone 4 held between the pair of electrodes 21 and 31 by supplying power between the pair of electrodes 21 and 31. In the holding process, the weld zone is held between the pair of electrodes 21 and 31 formed of copper or its alloy. The welding process includes: a primary power supply process for supplying a predetermined large current; and a secondary power supply process for supplying a small current smaller than the large current after the primary power supply process. |
