PURPOSE:A multi-layer type cosmetic showing improved beautiful, milky appearance during shaking, rapidly being separated into a multi-layered state when allowed to stand, having improved skin safety and utility characteristics, containing a glutamate, ethyl alcohol, a surface active agent and water. CONSTITUTION:A multi-layer cosmetic consisting of 5-20wt% glutamate (e.g. sodium glutamate), 5-36wt% ethyl alcohol, 10-39wt% surface active agent and 20-80wt% water in the weight ratio of the glutamate:water of 10:90-25:75. The cosmetic shows a beautiful, milky state when shaken, has good adaptability to the skin, little feeling of greasiness, good spread, wetness and safety to the skin. A nonionic surface active agent having 8-12 HLB is preferable as the surface active agent and polyoxyethylene sorbitan monostearate, etc., may be cited as the surface active agent. |
