PURPOSE:To impart good water permeability to soil, leave some water holding property and obtain soil for a banking material with reduced embrittling and consolidating by drying, by charging soil into expanded shale and kneading the resultant blend with time. CONSTITUTION:Expanded shale (generically called material used as lightweight aggregate or cold insulating material, e.g. expanded perlite, etc., in addition to ordinary expanded shale) in a portion of, e.g. 4wt% in portions, into soil in a mixer and the resultant blend is kneaded to afford soil for a banking material. Not only a bucket type but also a screw auger form, etc., may be used as the mixer. |
