PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform compression coding on an element image group which is generated according to an integral photography scheme, according to a two-dimensional image coding scheme and to obtain the element image group by decoding data coded by compression coding.SOLUTION: An encoding apparatus 10 comprises an image converting section 11 and a compression coding section 12. A plurality of element images are obtained from light fluxes which are obtained through a plurality of element lenses constituting a lens array. The image converting section 11 converts the plurality of element images into an aggregate of partial images including, as elements, partial element images in the same position and the same range in the plurality of element images. The compression coding section 12 performs compression coding on the aggregate of partial images acquired by the image converting section 11. |
